Welcome to the A - Z of Model Collecting, an extensive alphabetical reference to all the background information you need to know to enable you enjoy your hobby to the full.

Included are model collecting terms, the leading manufacturers of toys and models over the years, both in the United Kingdom and overseas, and details of the leading makes of cars and commercials, with emphasis on those of most significance to British enthusiasts.

When it comes to manufacturers, we have concentrated on those which have had most influence, and therefore tend to be those with a longer history. Today many of the brand names encountered are often using existing expertise.
