COMPETITIONS

There's no tool like an old tool!
Next year will see Corgi's 50th anniversary. To celebrate this they plan to issue five models during the course of 2006 which will be manufactured using existing castings and finished in a special anniversary livery.

These models (each limited to 2006 pieces) will be selected from five categories:
Trucks (model to be launched in February 06); Fire/Police (April 06); Aircraft (June 06); Buses (August 06) and Car/Van (October 06).

Corgi have nominated five models in the bus category and would like
Model Collector readers to decide upon the tool. The model receiving the most votes will be reproduced, and those of you who vote for the winning candidate will be entered into a prize draw for the first model off the tool!

All votes must be received by March 11, 2005, so there's no time to loose. Please register your vote as quickly as you can by filling in the ballot form below and posting it to us at Corgi Bus Votes, Model Collector, IPC Media Ltd, Leon House, 233 High Street, Croydon, Surrey CR9 1HZ.

The nominations are as follows:
1. Burlingham Seagull
2. Plaxton Premiere
3. Bristol Lodekka
4. East Lancs Modern
5. AEC Q Double Decker.

Stenning Stunners competition

Corgi have again teamed up with one of the UK's top livery designers, Ray Stenning of Best Impressions, to add a new dimension to this year's Original Omnibus Company collection.
Having previously produced almost 20 models featuring Stenning liveries, 2005 will see:
A) a Plaxton Excalibur in the livery of Oxford Bus Company's Oxford Express service, completely rebranded during winter 2003-4;
B) a double-decker Wright Eclipse Gemini in the livery of Twickenham based operator London United on the 148 route;
C) a Plaxton Premiere Wilts & Dorset liveried X33 branded coach, incorporated into the Go-Ahead Group in August 2003 and
D) a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLF operated by Arriva Kent & Sussex and sporting the green and cream 'Transweald' colours.

4 Buses

And we're bringing FOUR lucky readers the chance to each win a set of all four models, signed by the designer himself. Just answer the simple question on the competition entry form below and forward it to us at Stenning Stunners Competition, Model Collector, IPC Media Ltd, Leon House, 233 High Street, Croydon CR9 1HZ.
